Information We Collect

We collect your email address when you create an account. A unique license key is generated in your Transcribe2Text account when you purchase a license and is used for license activation.

When you submit an online form, we log your IP address. Support forms may require your name and email address.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect information needed to complete a purchase, including your name, email address, address, and card information. Transcribe2Text does not store private payment-processing information in its database.

Google Analytics may collect analytics information through cookies. If you choose to sign in with Google, information is shared with Google for that sign-in process.

How We Use Information

Transcribe2Text uses information to create and manage accounts, generate and activate licenses, provide support, and communicate marketing information about Transcribe2Text products and services.

Transcribe2Text does not sell personal information to third parties.

Transcription Data

The Transcribe2Text desktop application processes audio files locally on your device. Transcription data is not sent through the web, and Transcribe2Text does not transmit, access, or store the content of your audio recordings or transcriptions on its servers.

The application transmits product activation data consisting only of a unique license key through SSL to verify that the product is licensed.

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are enabled and required to access secure areas of the Transcribe2Text website.

The website uses first-party cookies and Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies for tracking and analytics.

Sharing and Service Providers

Transcribe2Text shares information with service providers that support its services. These providers include Google for analytics and, if you choose Google sign-in, sign-in services; Stripe for payment processing; and a third-party email provider for transactional and marketing communications.

Retention and Account Deletion

Transcribe2Text keeps license data indefinitely so that you can activate a product you purchased.

You may delete your account through the My Account section of the website. When you delete your account, account data is removed from the site immediately. Encrypted data may remain in off-site backups for up to one year.

Your Choices

You can access your data through the My Account section of the website. You may download and/or delete your personal data through that section.

You can opt out of marketing communications by using the opt-out link included in each non-transactional marketing email sent by Transcribe2Text.

Children and Minimum Age

Transcribe2Text software and services are intended for a general audience of individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. Users must be at least 18 years old, or the applicable age of majority in their jurisdiction, to purchase, download, or use the product.

Transcribe2Text does not intentionally target, market to, or attract children. It does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under age 13, or under age 16 in certain jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area.

Because Transcribe2Text processes audio files locally on the user’s device and does not transmit, access, or store audio recordings or transcription content on its servers, it does not knowingly acquire personal data or sensitive voice data belonging to minors. If Transcribe2Text discovers or is notified that a child under the applicable minimum age has provided personal information, such as an email address through a purchase or support inquiry, or that a minor made a transaction without parental consent, it will take steps to delete that information.

Security

Transcribe2Text stores your email address for account access. Payment information is handled by Stripe and is not stored in the Transcribe2Text database.

Transcription does not require online access for transcription data. Only the unique license key used for product activation is transmitted, and it is transmitted through SSL.
