For attorneys, investigators, researchers, and HR teams
Transcribe confidential interviews without uploading them
Transcribe2Text turns interview recordings into editable, timestamped text right on your Mac or Windows PC. The audio is processed locally, so sensitive conversations don't have to be sent to a cloud transcription service. $20 once, no subscription.
Who it's for
- Attorneys and legal staff working with client interviews, witness statements, and recorded calls.
- Private investigators turning interviews and voicemails into reviewable notes.
- Researchers transcribing participant interviews that shouldn't leave the project computer.
- HR teams documenting workplace interviews and internal investigations.
What "offline" means here
- Your audio file is transcribed on your own computer. Transcribe2Text does not send, access, or store your recordings or transcripts on its servers.
- The only data the app sends is your license key, over SSL, to confirm the product is licensed.
- Your files stay wherever you save them, under your own storage, backup, and retention practices.
Transcribe2Text is a transcription tool, not a compliance product. It doesn't replace your firm's, agency's, or institution's evidence-handling, confidentiality, or data-protection procedures. Check those requirements for your matter or study before you rely on any tool.
From recording to reviewable transcript
- Start with the recording. Open a WAV, MP3, or M4A file up to 1 GB, or record with your microphone.
- Add names and terms first. Enter names, places, acronyms, or case terms so they're recognized more accurately.
- Transcribe locally. Turn on timestamps and paragraph formatting, then watch progress as it runs on your computer.
- Review against the audio. Click any timestamp to play from that point, follow the highlighted text, and fix each segment as you listen.
- Export. Save as TXT, SRT, or VTT, or copy the transcript to paste into your memo, report, or case file.
